The Unique Style
of Julie Beckett
Julie came to the Dingle Peninsula to learn the Irish language,
in 1994. Soon after she decided to move here and made the small
village of Ballyferriter her home. Inspired by the Landscape
and Culture of this beautiful part of the world, Julie rekindled
her interest in Art and has been working as a full time artist
since.
Julie’s work reflects her particular interest in textured
effects. She continually explores different methods and possibilities
employing a variety of materials.
Julie has created her own unique style with her flower Paintings
and now demonstrates her ability as a landscape artist with
a difference.
Julie looks forward to 2010 with a Solo Exhibition in the Seanchái
Centre as part of Listowel Writers week (2nd—6th June)
and a Group Exhibition at the Frank Lewis Gallery in Killarney
(May 11th—mid June), in addition to various Exhibitions
and Galleries around Ireland and England.
Her work is held in various collections both at home and abroad.
